Solid flip up for sure, the "lift" to open it I wasn't sure about at first but it grew on me quickly, easy to do even with my heavy stick welding gloves. My only little gripe is I have to slam or physically snap the lense closed for it to actually close. Although I feel like this will wear in over time and not be much of an issue later on... time will tell. Installation was easy, your videos are very in depth, I ordered the template with it and ended up not needing it, I wish it was just included in the price, but I understand that nothing is free and some people don't need it either. I like the compression rivets, they leave a clean look to the finished install I was able to replace the flip up on my pops old Jackson hood that he bought back in the 70's when he picked up his Idealarc 250 Tombstone machine, so being able to get that hood back in service makes me super happy

I picked up the eco scoop as a backup to keep in the truck. I've been pleasantly surprised by the weight and balance of this hood and can't wait until I have an excuse to pick up the carbon version. The flip-up is great and seems well made.

Excellent customer service! American made and American born with values that have seemed to have disappeared in modern times. I purchased the eco sugar scoop and was pleased with the build quality. The head strap is well-constructed and comfortable!

Absolute favorite hood. Added the flip shortly after. Favorite bit is the flare at the base of the hood. Does a good job of keeping smoke and spatter from going up the hood or down my shirt.
